yeh hain pyaar ke pal

Hum rahe ya na rahe kal / Kal yaad aayenge yeh pal / Pal, yeh hain pyaar ke pal…

I can never listen to these lines without remembering that bittersweet evening in Sahyadri. It was one of our last few nights in school and we were still getting used to the idea of saying goodbye.

Our tribe of 32 had bonded over endless cakes of Maggi and numerous midnight rants. But on nights like these, we let the music talk. We were never a bunch of articulate people. But times like these left us tongue-tied. A part of us was itching to venture out in the world while the other just refused to let go.

Music held us in place. As it did that one evening. Thank you V.

Thank you for this fabulous earworm and the memories it evokes.
